Forum > HP TouchPad - Winner or Loser

So, the HP TouchPad has just appeared on preorder on the HP UK website. This new device with its snazzy WebOS looks very promising, but I must admit to being concerned about the lack of apps & support for it.

What do you guys & gals think, will it be a challenger to the Google Android based tablets and even perhaps the iPad?

Are you going to buy one?

Have to agree with you dave, it looks a very promising device but WebOS is really lacking in the apps department so i cant see it being a threat to Android or Apple for quite a while.

Yes, it is a shame that they can't launch with more developer support behind them. The hardware and OS looks superb.

Great opinion Daniel. Feel free to post new topics in the forum and of course tell everyone that they exist.

I think the technology they are using is awesome but, as you were saying, the lack of apps will totally ruin the whole thing like bad hardware ruined the WebOS smartphone experience in 2007. BUT, in a couple of years they will became a valuable rival for Apple, iOS and the iPad...
