Sennheiser CEO on fashion 'phones and battling Beats

Last year I had the chance to interview Luke Wood, the boss of Beats headphones, about the bass-heavy company's meteoric rise to prominence -- a fashion-focused bombardment that left traditional audio companies struggling to keep pace. This year, at the IFA trade show in Berlin, Daniel Sennheiser of German firm Sennheiser is having his say.

Sennheiser is one of the many manufacturers caught off guard by the popularity of Beats' celebrity-endorsed fashion 'phones. I wanted to know how the company was coping with the competition, and the challenges of selling headphones in a post-Beats world...

iPhone 5C costs just £50 on O2

O2 has revealed its first prices for the iPhone 5S and 5C -- and the colourful 5C can be yours for just £50.

Despite being embarrassingly left out of Apple's presentation, O2 has offered up a couple of deals that will get you a new iPhone -- including a deal to nab you a 16GB iPhone 5C for £50 if you pay £32 per month.

That's a reasonable amount of money to fork out up-front -- for an iPhone, anyway; there are much cheaper phones and deals available away from Apple -- as long as you're happy with 750GB of 3G data and 600 minutes of talk-time every four weeks...

An 8.9-inch sequel is also in the works, and will look 'almost identical' to the 7-inch version, the report says, also mentioning that we'll likely see the mythical device revealed before the end of this month, according to 'trusted sources'...

iPhone 5S new graphite colour revealed in leak video

For your second helping of iPhone 5S leakery today -- after this morning's specs sheet -- we have this in-depth hands-on video, courtesy of deal-finders uSwitch.com.

It's a slightly odd 'reveal', because as the presenter explains, they've basically sourced all the components needed to make an iPhone 5S and then put them together. The bits don't all match, so it has a white front and a new black and grey back -- from a new 'graphite' colour option, which will supposedly replace the standard black iPhone...
