The LG-made Nexus 5 received a few subtle, but important changes in the design department. Newly manufactured units come with larger speaker grills and a stiffer power button and volume rocker. The changes were spotted by XDA-Developers user shinral.
Besides the software problems with the camera, which Google mostly fixed in Android 4.4.1, the quality of the sound emitted by the Nexus 5’s speaker was a problem that many reviewers and users have raised. The sound was muffled by the tiny orifices of the speaker grill, resulting in buzzy, hardly discernable audio...

When Google released Android 4.4.2 a few days ago, it removed a hidden privacy feature called App Ops – many of you may know about it, while others may read about it for the first time – which was available on Android since Android 4.3, and now the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) wants it back.
The app allowed users to better control what kind of data Android apps can have access to and/or collect, assuming that users knew about it and how to activate it. Despite being discovered for quite a while, App Ops was never an app that was immediately available to Android users – in other words, if you didn’t know about it, chances are you wouldn’t have discovered it and used in the first place...

A well-known leaker says that the LG V510 is “indeed” a Nexus tablet, although Google is yet to officially announce it.
This isn’t the first time we hear the LG V510 will be a Nexus device, with past rumors saying that the device is either a future Nexus 8 tablet or a new Nexus 10 model.
Without going into further details about the product, @evleaks has tweeted the message above. As you can see, it’s not clear what kind of Nexus tablet we’re looking at...

Are you as excited as I am for the new Bond Film coming in 2015? Daniel Craig, Sam Mendes and John Logan are all queued up to star in what promises to be another epic spy/action film.
Due for release on 23rd October 2015 in the UK and two weeks later in the US, I am curious if it will beat the£700m that Skyfall made. The storyline should be thrilling to say the least.
To celebrate this exciting news, Ladbrokes have commissioned a set of teaser posters imagined by five different illustrators (you can see my favourite three here) based on the rumour and speculation around the film. They look superb and certainly conjure up some magical memories of the casinos and Bond Girls from previous films.
A new report says that Google will launch an Android-running Nexus TV set-top box at some point in the first half of 2014, with the device expected to be “aggressively priced.”
According to The Information, The Google Nexus TV would stream video from various sources including Netflix, Hulu and YouTube and sort-of act as a video games console as well. The Nexus TV could also come with a touchpad remote, although we would imagine that it would work with Android devices as well. At this time it’s not clear how everything would work, but it looks like the company has been showing the set-top box to developers as recently as this fall...

The iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c have only been out for a few months, but attention is already turning to Apple's plans for the next generation of iPhone, likely to appear in late 2014. Rumors have indicated that a larger, perhaps curved, display may be one of the key features of the next iPhone, which is generally being referred to as the "iPhone 6" by the rumor community. Rumors about the iPhone 6 and a potential successor to the iPhone 5c will undoubtedly escalate in the coming months, so MacRumors has put together a new iPhone 6 roundup to help readers stay on top of the latest reports...

While Google is already releasing a major update for KitKat, Samsung is still busy bringing the latest version of Jelly Bean to some of its devices.
Specifically, Samsung has apparently resumed the Android 4.3 update for the international Galaxy S3 version (model number GT-I9300) after having stopped it in various markets not to long ago.
Galaxy S3 owners that installed the previous Android 4.3 version noticed several performance as well as battery issues with the handset following the update, complaining about it directly to Samsung, most notably on the company’s Facebook page in the UK...
