News has broke from various sources that one time Cydia store developer, the man behind the MobileNotifier ; Peter Hajas, has been hired by Apple, with the role, "iOS Apps and Framework". A few people have noted thats as this is only a new finding, they hope this doesnt mean that Notifications in iOS will again be a no show, come iOS 5 in a few days time.

E3 Expo to be broadcast in 3D

NVIDIA today announced that GamerLive.TV, an online provider of videogame, entertainment and lifestyle content, will be the first media organization to broadcast news and updates from the E3 2011 conference in stereoscopic 3D for NVIDIA® 3D Vision™ users.
 
E3 Expo (June 7-9, 2011, Los Angeles Convention Center) is the premier annual trade show for the computer and video games industry, used by many game and hardware developers to showcase new titles and game-related gear. 
 
Beginning today and continuing through June 9, GamerLive.TV will issue more than 50 high-quality 3D videos of the latest E3 news, including game launches, booth demos, 3D game captures, celebrity interviews, Expo events, and VIP parties.  It will also post exclusive interviews with the world’s top game developers, including representatives from Activision, Capcom, Disney, Electronic Arts, Sega, THQ, and Ubisoft.
 
The videos will be available on GamerLive.TV’s YouTube channel, as well as here.  In addition, NVIDIA will showcase the videos at 3DVisionLive, and will post regular updates on Twitter (@NVIDIAGeForce) to alert users when new videos become available.
 
3D Vision users will be able to view all of the E3 videos in rich, high-quality stereoscopic 3D on their NVIDIA 3D Vision PCs and notebooks when using the latest version of the Mozilla Firefox Web browser.

With a live video broadcast, viewers watched in as the website was switched on for the very first time. What followed was an hour of entertainment with a Q&A session from viewers around the world.

The Visibly Smart video competition invites moving-image makers from across the UK to create a 2 minute piece of work that commends being Visibly Smart, reflects the ASUS global ethos (Inspiring Innovation, Persistent Perfection) and cleverly incorporates an innovative feature of the N Series range of notebooks. 

All entries will be uploaded onto the ASUS consumer portal (Here) from 20th June 2011 where the public will be invited to engage through comments and voting.

Father & Son app, go live on app store.

MEDL Mobile is a leading mobile development studio with a track record of App Store hits such as Boxhead: The Zombie Wars - a game with nearly 1,000,000 players around the world. But when the team was hired by a father and son with an iPhone dream to create the game, "Fruit Blast", the initial launch didn't go to plan. 

The game, which features a fruit-throwing monkey who splats the user's screen with bananas, apples and pears, had all the mechanics of a hit. However, the app never broke through to the top of the App Store. Unflustered, the father/son team recruited family members, friends and colleagues to help tear the game down to it's core elements - and then worked with MEDL to build it back up better and stronger than before. 

The result is Fruit Blast 2.0 - with all new graphics, new controls, new animations, a connection to Apple's Game Center, and a host of new features and fun. 

"This whole process has been an amazing experience for my son Parker and I." said Mark Lewis. "It's a real world opportunity to teach him about following your dreams, learning from your mistakes, and not giving up on success." 

The essence of the game remains the same. A crazed monkey throws fruit at the player, who uses the accelerometer to aim fruit blasting weapons and destroy the flying fruit before it splats all over the screen. But the team analyzed and improved every aspect of the game - from the initial load and help screen - through to the in-game purchases that allow a user to acquire bigger and better weapons. 

"I can't wait for feedback from the current users." said Jon Rockmore, a Project Manager from MEDL Mobile. "We stayed true to what the game's fans loved. But we were given a lot of latitude to push the game in every way that made sense." 

Fruit Blast will be made available for the first 10,000 downloads for free on the iTunes App Store.
