Create Amazing Content Wherever You Are

March 21, 2016

In today’s fast paced, technology driven world, nothing ever stands still. We live in a time where we can share our thoughts and passions with the rest of the universe at the push of a button. It is even possible to reach out to companies, celebrities and CEO’s of big corporations that were never imaginable before. With so many opportunities at our fingertips, creativity and opportunity really is at an all time high.

When we look back at the first mobile phones, they were at best portable, often having the size of a household brick. Over time gadgets got smaller, the race was on to create the thinnest tech. Computers changed the lives of so many, but the introduction of laptops changed the way so many work. Fast forward a few more years and 3G connectivity allows us to keep on working and communicating whilst away from our desk, albeit with some compromises on functionality and/or performance.

Nowadays, we don’t have to make such compromises. Take a look at the latest Dell XPS laptops and you get amazing performance in such a sleek compact package. They all feature the latest Intel® Core processors and graphics performance that I would have normally only expected to see in a desktop computer. Moving away from the desk used to be quite a concern for a few reasons. I personally used to be concerned about battery life and the weight of the laptop. With the XPS range you can expect up to 17 hours of battery life between charges, which is quite simply amazing. This is partly down to improvements in battery technology, but also changes in the type of storage used. For maximum time away from a power outlet, you can get your Dell XPS laptop configured with a super fast PCIe solid state drive. With up to 1TB of capacity, not only do you have room for some serious creativity, but the lack of moving parts in the drive help that battery last longer too.

If you are a blogger or business person looking for something that will deliver a great typing experience, I don’t think you will be disappointed. The key action is pretty sweet and the keyboard is backlit too, for those late night sessions. Alongside this you get a precision multi-gesture trackpad too, which really helps with multitasking and getting things done with minimal fuss.

On the other hand, if you are a visual creative, working with photographs or perhaps a video creator like myself, you will appreciate the virtually borderless InfinityEdge display. This is available on the whole range in Full HD, QHD+ and even 4K Ultra HD resolutions. Being able to edit in such a high resolution is a real pleasure. If colour accuracy is important to you, opting for the XPS 15 means you get 100% minimum Adobe RGB, so you get the most accurate colour. This is important, especially if you are delivering work to your clients that appreciate consistency across screen and printed media.

With different screen sizes and specifications to suit everyone, even a 12-inch 2-in-1 option with detachable keyboard, there really is something here for everyone. Awesome build quality, coupled with the ultra-portable size, means there is no excuse now. We can work from places that no longer tie us to one location and therefore there are no limits on what our creativity can achieve.
